About this Event
We are excited to inform you about an important new initiative in Fort Wayne: the Latino Leadership Pipeline, a leadership development program aimed at preparing Latino/Hispanic individuals for nonprofit board service.
This program has been created to help increase Latino/Hispanic representation on nonprofit boards and build a stronger, more inclusive community. Three prominent Fort Wayne organizations serving Latino/Hispanic citizens – The Greater Fort Wayne Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, The Hispanic Leadership Coalition of Northeast Indiana (“HLCNI”), and Latinos Count – have come together to host this event. Funding has been provided by St. Joseph Community Health Foundation. The Latino Leadership Pipeline will be a one-day event led by Mike Stone, of Stone Consulting, LLC, an expert in nonprofit board governance. Participants will receive hands-on training about nonprofit board functions, how to find the right board, and how to present themselves as ideal candidates for board membership.
This program aims to create a pool of competent, qualified Latino/Hispanic leaders eager to contribute to our community.
