Finally, The Essential Skills That Accelerate Latino and Latina Talent Without Sacrificing Their Authenticity

Attention Chief Human Resources, Talent Management and Diversity Officers!

Is Your Latino and Latina Talent Ready for the Leadership Ranks?

Most companies have implemented strategies to attract Latino talent at the lower levels of their organization. Yet, those same organizations struggle to retain that talent and do little to purposefully develop Latinos and Latinas for higher level leadership positions, creating a leaky bucket in talent management.

A Solution Hatched Over Pints and Pizza
Event Photos

In December of 2016, long-time friends and consultants, Robert Rodriguez, PhD, and Angel Gomez were trading war stories about their previous careers in corporate America over a couple of pints and a deep-dish pizza, as true Chicagoans tend to do. Dr. Rodriguez shared how he overcame the challenges of being the only Latino in leadership at companies like Amoco, 3M and Target, struggling with his sense of Latino identity all along. Angel spoke about his trials climbing the corporate ladder to the executive ranks at Walmart and how some of his Latino cultural norms either impeded his progress or helped him in other circumstances. Both had experienced similar cultural challenges ascending to high levels of leadership and both had unlocked the secrets of their success through trial and error, like so many Latinos and Latinas continue to do today.

Suddenly, it dawned on Dr. Rodriguez, now a noted author and the premier expert on Latino talent and Angel, a global leadership development consultant himself, that they should join forces and create a leadership development experience to accelerate the careers of upwardly mobile Latinos and Latinas by sharing their expertise and lessons learned. By the end of their last slice and on the back of a bunch of white napkins, they had designed a learning experience based on Dr. Rodriguez’s research on the Latino Cultural Script and Angel’s work on leadership success factors and competencies. What they came up with was a rigorous, two-day, Latino-centric leadership development experience and follow-up leadership coaching focused on the application of practical skills and techniques that drive higher workplace performance and advance the careers of Latino talent.

Now upwardly mobile Latinos and Latinas can learn the secrets to accelerating their careers from the foremost experts on Latino talent leadership development at the most iconic university campuses in the United States

THE LATINO LEADERSHIP INTENSIVE
A Latino-centric leadership development experience
that Hispanic Executive Magazine says is . . ."Unlike Any Other"

"I spent the last two days at the Latino Leadership Intensive and - WOW! LLI gave me the skills and awareness to fully understand my potential as a leader. I gained a greater appreciation for how I show up as a Latina in the workplace, and how to sharpen my unique talents to drive results. I explored practical leadership frameworks through the lens of my cultural script, which ultimately will enhance myself awareness and organizational effectiveness."

Constanza Cabello, Ed.D., Senior VP of Equity Programs - Global Inclusion, Diversity & Equity (Global HR) at State Street

"It was the most impactful learning experience I’ve been to. The content, dialog, and activities were incredibly engaging and thought provoking. I look forward to applying what I’ve learned and maintaining relationships with the incredible people I met in the program. ¡Éxitos!"

Ricardo Mejia, Director of Talent Management & Development at The Home Depot

"Thank you so much for putting together an amazing, intense, dynamic, program! It was a great experience, different from many other programs. LLI is well organized, up to date and most importantly, no BS! All things covered are important and we all concluded we can apply them to our everyday life – not only in Corporate America, but even in some daily situations."

Vanessa Morales-Tirado, Principal Research Scientist at AbbVie Research Center
