During the late 1960’s, the only act who displayed the diversity of musical genres better than Top 40 radio was a group appropriately named The Band, with musical influences that ranged from American Folk to Rock, Country to Classical, Psychedelic to Soul, Oompah to OMG vocal harmonies.The Last Waltz is a tribute to The Band’s farewell concert with 21 of the Chicago area’s top musicians to craft and recreate this powerful piece of rock n’ roll history.
The Band’s final performance was a show of respect and love, as they were joined on stage by musical icons of the time; Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, Dr. John, Ronnie Hawkins Muddy Waters, Paul Butterfield, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Neil Diamond and Bob Dylan. Our guest performers have been carefully selected to truly represent their performances.
