“Jazz Group of the Year” nominee, The Lao Tizer Band, make their return in support of their forthcoming 2024 album and video release "Amplify." The new release is a major evolution for the group and includes five new original vocals and four new original instrumentals with flavors of jazz, R&B, funk and world music. The project was recorded and filmed all live at the legendary EastWest Studios in Hollywood with simultaneous seven-camera video shoot and a legendary cast of musicians. Joining keyboardist and bandleader Lao Tizer for the concert are: American Idol star, Elliott Yamin, Grammy®-winning drum phenom Gene Coye (Hiromi, Larry Carlton, Terrence Blancherd), Senegalese bassist, producer Cheikh N’Doye (Baaba Maal, Weedie Braimah) and saxophonist and flutist, Phillip Whack (Simon Phillips, The Temptations). Join them as the group takes you on a high-energy musical ride through a variety of flavors and styles with an all-star cast of musicians in this elegant setting.
