Kwanzaa, or “First Fruits of the Harvest” in Swahili, is a weeklong celebration of African-American culture, traditions, history, and community.Each day of the holiday represents a guiding principle: unity, self-determination, collective responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity, and faith.
