The Joseph Kreines Wind Orchestra presents its second concert at Park Avenue Baptist Church at 3:30PM on Sunday March 8th. The concert is played by a 65-member wind orchestra that is dedicated to the memory of one Joseph Kreines a local music leader who leader who passed away last year. The ensemble lead by James Bishop and Ian Schwindt is made up of 65 musicians from throughout Central Florida. The wind orchestra will be playing Joe Kreines transcription for wind band of Franck's beautiful tone poem Psyche et Eros, the band will play a new piece for winds called Fantasy of Colors by Paul Dooley, we will feature our low wood wind section with Mr. Kreines favorite composer Percy Grainger on his Children's March, and we will end the concert with the powerful tone poem Feste Roman by Ottorino Respighi arranged for the US Marine Band by Donald Patterson. We hope to see out at this wonderful concert at Park Ave at 3:30PM on March 8th.
