The Killers hit the world Poprock Scene in 2004 after they'd toured around London UK in 2003 with their demo which included the later massive hit Mr Brightside on the UK Lizard King label.Formed in a rehearsal room in Navada University Los Angeles, singer Brandon Flowers (who was fired from the band Blush Response which was a synth pop trio) had been to see OASIS at a Hard Rock Cafe performance and then knew his calling was in the genre of poprock. Brandon formed up with Dave Keuning who was a guitarist from Iowa who'd moved to LA and advertised for someone to jam with. They soon began to write together and named their band The Killers after the fictional band from the video to the song "Crystal" from the band New Order.
The Killers rose quickly & by 2004 they released the album Hot Fuss which hit No1 in the UK in Jan 2005 and went on to be the longest placed number 1 album in that whole decade. 7 times platinum in the UK & Ireland and No1 in Australia 3 x platinum. Voted the best rock band of 2005 and multiple award winners. 7 studio albums have been recorded by the Killers to date and they were last in Australia in December 2024 following a residency in Las Vegas Collusium Casino and Theatre.
The Killer Instinct are a four peice band who have dedicated themselves to recreating that magic the Killers are renowned for, energy, musicality, showmanship! Based in Melbourne Victoria the guys are over in Adelaide with Our Kid Promotions to perform their feel good show.
