Shawn Magill is a collage artist, composer, and designer who collaborates frequently with fashion designers and photographers as well as bands, dance companies, theaters and non-profits to help them tell their stories. Her work has been seen and heard at various venues, stages and screens throughout the county.
On October 8th, 2022, Shawn is collaborating with The Kessler Theater and her band, Secrecies, to present “Heavenly Bodies”, an opening of the first solo exhibit of her original collage works. Made from a collection of vintage books, magazines and periodicals unearthed at thrift stores, estate sales, and book stores, this show features a celebration of the female form and other bodies - planets in space, mountains, gemstones, animals, flowers all come together to form surreal and whimsical fairy-tale like stories.
Secrecies will also perform a special set in the round in The Kessler Theater.
Singer, songwriter, and bassist Shawn Magill, will perform along with drummer Joey Noga (joining from his home in New York City) and guitarist Leah Lane (front-woman for local favorite, Rosegarden Funeral Party) . They will play old favorites like “Hole In My Heart”, “Life We Live” and “So Quickly” heard in frequent rotation on KXT 91.7 and new songs from Secrecies’ upcoming album written just before and during the pandemic. The highly anticipated album follows the self-titled debut released in 2019 on Idol Records, earning them a Best New Artist win from the Dallas Observer Music Awards.

SECRECIES have performed with Alice Merton, Handsome Ghost, Armors, Swimming With Bears, Wilsen, Geneva Jacuzzi, Bad Bad Hats, Night Drive, Nite Jewel and more.
