Kahnma is a dynamic, multi-dimensional artist who has been a vibrant force in Honolulu’s music and entertainment scene for nearly 15 years. A Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award nominee with her reggae band Jookbox City, Kahnma has achieved #1 songs on local radio and fronted the acclaimed West African band Jamarek—just a glimpse of her musical journey so far. Her latest project, The Kahnma Experience, marks her evolution as a solo artist. Backed by a group of seasoned local musicians, she blends the rich rhythms of her West African homeland, Liberia, with infectious Afrobeat grooves. Singing in her native Bassa and delivering an electrifying stage presence, Kahnma doesn’t just perform—she creates an experience.
