Welcome to the JSA Science in Design Morning Aquathlon @ Kingston Beach

This event is Race 1 of the Aquathlon Series, a Triathlon South Club Points Race. The distances are Sprint and Short Course. Entries also open to teams.
We are also very lucky to have JSA TRYstars at the Aquathlon Race, racing starts for TRYstars at 8.00am with registration open at 7.30am

The Lowdown:
Where: Osborne Esplanade Kingston, opposite the Salty Dog
When: Race 1: Friday 27th December 2024 with racing starting at 9:00 am at Kingston
Race 2: Friday 14th February 2025 with racing starting at 6:00 pm
ONLINE entry only. Late Entries after NOON on Race Day add $20 LATE FEE. (All Registration closes 2 hrs prior to the race start).
Event Distances
* Short Course Aquathlon: 300m swim | 2.5km beach run (age rules apply: 12yos can enter as a solo participant or in a team).
* Sprint Aquathlon: 1km swim | 5km beach run (age rules apply: 13yos can only compete as part of a team, 14yos can enter as a solo participant)
Age Category:
Note: Age as at 31 st of December 2024 for this season
* Youth (12-14) - Youth are only eligible for Club points in the Short Course
* Junior (15-19) - Juniors are only eligible for Club points in the Sprint
* Senior (20-39)
* Veteran (40-49)
* Super Veteran (50+)
The Details for the Day
Race start: (Sprint and Short Course) at 9am
Registration and Transition: Opens at 8am and closes at 8:40am
Race Brief: At 8:45am
Presentations: On the Board Walk at 10.15am
Cost:
Entry fees are the same for Short Course & Sprint distances.
* Triathlon South members: $30 (INCLUDES Member discount of $10 when using discount code included in membership registration email)
* Triathlon Australia members: $40
* Non-Members of Triathlon Australia: $50 (INCLUDES $10 One Day Licence fee)
* Junior: $20 (Add $10 if non-Tri Australia member & take off $10 if Tri-South member)
* Teams: $50 INCLUDES $10 One Day Licence fee
Late Entries after 8pm before race day add $20 LATE FEE to the above. ONLINE entry only.
*In addition to spot prizes, a small prize will be given to 1st, 2nd, 3rd placing Male and Female in the Sprint and Short Course. And to the winning team of Sprint and Short Course.
*This series will count towards the end-of-year Club Age Category winners and Triathlete of the Year.
This is a great race to wet your feet into racing and building up to a solo triathlon.
No matter what type or level of Triathlon you enjoy, or even if you have never completed a Triathlon, this race will have something for you.
