Its that time of year again guys The 27th of December marks the date I completed my first marathon in 2020 with Liam Cox and crew during his 12 christmas Marathons, I have run a marathon on Dec 27/28th every year since. So this year I will continue the tradition of my anniversary marathon and would like to raise some money for charity in the process. I am raising money for North West Stop, because after my head injury in Sept 2020, I was unable to run the Dublin marathon as planned and suffered from some issues that North West Stop help people with daily, so the date of my first Marathon is very close to my heart.
The plan will be to run the Marathon on the BlueWay between Drumshanbo and Battlebridge the start is located at the Lough Allen Adventure Centre @ 9am on the 28th Dec. The route will be fully marked and consist of 3 loops of 12km, with 3km in and out.
The run is open to anyone who would like to join or even run one/two of the loops. The Marathon will be followed by Tea, Coffee and snacks at the lough Allen adventure centre. The Adventure Center will be fully open for all runners, with a charge of €10 that the Adventure centre will kindly donate back to North West STOP-Suicide Prevention
The more the Merrier.
