Phil Hayter's Illuminators at The Jazz SessionsSince relocating from Melbourne's busy arts scene to the Sunshine Coast lifelong saxophonist and composer Phil Hayter has been lending his dynamic musicianship to the best groups and artists in S.E. Qld, quickly becoming an in demand woodwind artist in the region.
Over the last year he has performed regularly with his own band of "Illuminators", building a reputation as a hip modern jazz unit that will groove and surprise with influences from hip hop to hard bop.
Phil Hayter's Illuminators return to The Presynct for a new intimate show, presenting a mix of hard swinging standards, original jazz-funk compositions and vulnerable ballads using an array of woodwinds and keyboard textures.
The focus is on exceptional interplay and bringing as much fun as beauty into jazz. Expect some risk taking on a sonic adventure by some of the Sunshine Coast's best improvisers. With Denis Feletto on keyboards, Brendan Scully on double bass and Harold Bryson-Dean on drums.

There is no other food available from the venue but you are welcome to purchase dinner elsewhere and bring it in to eat in the venue.
