Join Make It Work Nevada for a special screening of The Janes, a powerful and timely documentary that tells the story of a group of courageous female activists who built an underground network to provide safe, illegal abortions before the Roe v. Wade decision.
Set in the pre-Roe era, The Janes follows a collective of women known simply as "Jane" who risked their freedom to help over 11,000 women obtain low-cost or free abortions. Their story is one of bravery, community care, and the unrelenting fight for reproductive justice—a fight that continues to this day.
This free event includes complimentary popcorn and soda for all attendees. After the film, we invite you to stay for a brief discussion on the state of reproductive rights today and how we can all take action to protect our communities.
