About this Event

The American Planning Association’s Federal Division has invited FRPA members to attend free of charge an expert panel at APA’s upcoming national conference at the National Housing Center on May 16 at 12:15pm. Collectively, federal, regional, and local planning play an important role in the character, development, and livability of cities across the nation. This is especially true in the National Capital Region due to the federal government’s outsized real estate footprint. This panel will discuss the impacts of federal planning and decision-making on local jurisdictions. Further, it will explore how planning entities can work more collaboratively on the region’s most pressing issues, including underutilized federal assets, resiliency, and transportation. FRPA members can attend the panel at no additional cost by registering below.

Panelists:

  • Elliot Doomes, General Services Administration Public Buildings Service Commissioner
  • Clark Mercer, Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments Executive Director
  • Anita Cozart, DC Office of Planning Director
  • Norman Dong, FD Stonewater Partner and FRPA President

  • Tickets: Free to FRPA Members through Eventbrite
  • Date: Thursday, May 16
