Join us as we explore how the Human-Animal Bond (HAB) and the field of Veterinary Social Work (VSW) can enhance the church’s impact across various ministries.
In this session, we will examine the roles and influence of animals in our society, particularly how they affect human mental and spiritual health. We’ll also discuss how charitable initiatives and other community efforts are shaped by our awareness of these relationships.
Through learning, reflection, and a hands-on writing activity designed to support animal care workers experiencing moral injury, attendees will gain practical insights to enrich their ministry work. Participants will also contribute to a larger service project that supports mental health in animal care and leave with valuable resources to share with congregants.
