About this Event
This stakeholder roundtable will bring together some of the leading practitioners in the offsite and premanufactured construction sector; policy makers, representatives of leading contractors, architects, academic and research institutions, government departments, project management organisations, students and other groups of professionals at the leading edge of innovation in industrialised construction.
The event will explore opportunities for the application of industrialised construction to deliver affordable housing to address the acute housing shortage, to deliver sustainable schools and health infrastructure.
This will have significant implications for sustainable futures and improved health outcomes in society. Participants will have the opportunity to network with these professionals leading some of the innovative projects using pre-manufactured construction methods. Participants will also be involved in the development of recommendations and policy proposals aimed at addressing the constraints to the uptake of offsite construction and its contribution to the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as well as the UK’s climate and net zero objectives.
This event is presented as part of the Chelmsford Science Festival.
