Fall and winter are the finest seasons to grow vegetables in Central Florida. In this informative presentation by the Gardens’ Director (and avid vegetable grower), learn how to grow armloads of vegetables for your family without poisons and pesky weeds. Learn more about which varieties grow best here, proper garden spacing, and when to harvest. If you enjoy eating market fresh vegetables, imagine how incredible freshly picked vegetables can taste. Robert’s newest book, Florida Gardener’s Resource and Guide to Florida Fruit and Vegetable Gardening will also be for sale in the Gift Shop.
Robert Bowden is the Director of Leu Gardens and author of Florida Top Ten Garden Guide by Sunset Books and Florida Gardener's Resource and Guide to Florida Fruit and Vegetable Gardening by Cool Springs Press.
