The Little Theatre of Watertown proudly presents an encore of the staged reading of Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest: A Trivial Comedy for Serious People on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 6:00 PMThe fundraiser will be held in The Strand Theater at 136 Franklin Street in Watertown. Proceeds from the event help offset the increased cost of storage facilities for costumes, properties, and other equipment necessary in our season's full productions.

The play is a farcical comedy in three acts depicting the tangled affairs of two young men about town who lead double lives to evade unwanted social obligations, both assuming the name Ernest while wooing the two young women of their affections.
