What’s in a name? For Jack Worthing, it’s his future happiness. The love of his life is incapable of returning such affection to someone named Jack. He therefore woos her under the assumed name of Ernest, hoping to someday resolve the predicament. Meanwhile, Jack’s best friend has fallen in love with someone who returns his affection under the assumption that he is also named Ernest.
