FREE :: ALL AGES :: FOOD TRUCKS :: LIBATIONS :: 3-9 PMIn the heart of Champaign, Illinois on Saturday, August 23rd from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., the ILLIAC celebrates a conclusion to summer and a welcoming to the fall semester in Champaign-Urbana.
The lineup features Sinfonia da Camera, the in-residence professional chamber orchestra at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, alongside The Marching Illini, the Nation’s Premier College Marching Band, the dynamic and genre-defying sextet The Soul Syndicate, and tango orquesta Bandoneon Massacre.
All community members are invited to enjoy this free performance, under the summer evening sky in historic Hessel Park. Bring a picnic, or purchase food onsite from food trucks, and beer and wine will be available for purchase for patrons 21+ to enjoy.
Partners of the event include Champaign Park District, PYGMALION, College of Fine + Applied Arts at the University of Illinois, Fairlawn, Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, United Way of Champaign County, Busey Bank, Royse & Brinkmeyer Apartments, Parkland Presents, and Champaign Urbana Mass Transit District (MTD).
