-----WHAT IS "THE H.O.W. PROJECT"?
Launched in February 2020, The H.O.W. Project seeks to help us recognize Open unhealed Wounds passed onto us. And, most important, to not pass those same wounds to others.

H.O.W. stands for Healing Open Wounds

WHY?

Because the purpose of "The H.O.W. Project" is for you to collect "tools" into your personal toolbox for healing.

WHY?

To use the "tools" for your own personal healing.

WHY?

To help yourself, first. Then, to help others (what you really desire anyway, right?).

WHY?

Because . . .

The H.O.W. Project is Y.O.U.

--At the 2020 launch, we received several tools. We learned about the Enneagram; we learned the importance of affirmations as taught by fathers to our little girls; we acknowledged our power from our ancestors; and we learned basic leadership skills to lead ourselves (and not just to lead others).

--At the 2023 event, we heard from LEADERS in the community, in business, and in government on the need to RECOGNIZE and ACKNOWLEDGE those wounds -- even before we begin the healing process.

For this March 2025 event, the theme is FEAR, FYAH (yes, fire!), and FAITH.

LaTanya Channel is your host for "The H.O.W. Project".

She is a "Native Washingontonian" - born and raised in Washington, DC (in Ward 8) - and she and her husband, Leon, made Nashville their home over 10 years ago, with their beloved "designer mutt", Teddy. LaTanya is the proud daughter of Theresa, Floyd, and Reggie; beloved granddaughter of James and Wilhimena; honored to be the great-great grand daughter of Georgianna Bruce - a fearless woman from Aquasco, Maryland - the southernmost city in Prince George's County, Maryland; and is a Big Sister and Aunty.

I have see others healed from OPEN wounds directly received; and from OPEN wounds passed down to them. I have also seen others who never healedd. I AM HEALING. You are, too. And we are all wounded, yes. - - - But, let's use an many tools as we can to heal those OPEN WOUNDS that are oozing, infecting others, and stinking up our lives - at home, at work, in church, and even oozing, infecting, stinking up our legacy. WHY?

...because Open Wounds STINK!

Greg Brewer is the Founder of "Prophet's Rest".

The primary purpose of Prophet’s Rest is to address issues related to emotional and physical stress, professional burn-out, relational conflict, and the loss of passion that challenge those serving in vocational ministries and nonprofit organizations. Support is provided in the form of personal outings, gifts, sabbatical/vacation lodging, retreats, personal/professional growth resources, and on-going peer support - and all resources and services are provided to selected recipients at no charge.

Greg and his wife, Tanja, love providing travel advice and services through their "Tripping with G&T "social media page and website and both are just committed friends to many.

Greg is a true servant leader, exemplified by the thousands of people he's helped in his years of doing this: TEACHING & PREACHING.
