The Spitalfields Talks.
A season of eight talks to be held on the first Tuesday of every month commencing in October 2023 and running to May 2024 presented by the Spitalfields Society and The Gentle Author. Dates and talks as follows:

3. 5 December. Morris Goldstein, The Lost Whitechapel Boy. Raymond Francis
4. 9 January. The Treasures of the Bishopsgate Institute. Stefan Dickers
5. 6 February. An audience with Dame Sian Philips. Interviewed by Basil Comely
6. 5 March. The Bengali East End. Julie Begum
7. 2 April. The East India Company. Geoff Quilley
8. 7 May. The Horticultural History of the East End. Margaret Willes
INFORMATION
The talks will be held at Hanbury Hall, 22 Hanbury Street, E1 6QR, starting at 7.00pm and finishing at 8.30pm allowing for questions and debate. Refreshments will be available, and the hall will be open from 6.30pm and 9.00pm to allow the local community and visitors to the area to socialise before and after the event.
Cash café/bar from 6.30 to 9.00pm. All proceeds to go to local “worthy causes.”
