Comics for the Night:
Host Alex Ridge is a Chicago-based stand-up comedian from LaGrange Park, Illinois, known for his laid-back and relaxed style of comedy. His sharp wit and effortless delivery have earned him a spot on Comedy Plex Comedy Club’s “Watch List,” highlighting him as a comedian on the rise. Alex has performed all across the Midwest, bringing his unique perspective and easygoing humor to audiences throughout the region.
Guest Feature Mark Krikorian is a Chicago-based stand-up comedian known for his sharp observations, self-aware humor, and confident, relatable storytelling. He has performed at top clubs including Zanies Old Town, Zanies Rosemont, Laugh Factory Chicago, and Batavia Comedy Vault. Mark also runs and hosts multiple comedy shows throughout the Chicagoland area, consistently building strong lineups and packed rooms. His comedy blends honesty, edge, and precision, delivering laughs that feel personal without trying too hard.
Main Feature Samir Abdul is an international comedian from Darfur, Sudan, now based in Chicago. His comedy blends personal stories of his refugee journey with sharp, relatable observations about American life. Currently he is the opener for AGT star Learnmore Jonasi, has performed at top Chicago venues like Laugh Factory, Zanies, and The Den Theatre. He also hosts and produces “Up’N Coming” at Second City, bringing fresh laughs to audiences citywide. He is also an Artist Resident at Northwestern University where he is responsible for organizing and producing comedy shows at the University.
Headliner Sonal Aggarwal is a dynamic and uplifting performer. Leaving the world of firedancing for the stability of stand up comedy, she is now making audiences laugh all over the world. Based in Chicago, she is a comedian, actor and movement artist. Her one woman show The Alchemy of Bliss played for a sold out weekend at The Steppenwolf Theater. She is a regular host of The Moth and she has officiated two weddings. You can catch her on Netflix’s Easy and the Hulu documentary, Out of the Loop.
