About this Event

Explore the many sides of ADHD at this new Glasgow summit. From the diagnosis process to practical strategies and how to manage ADHD symptoms.

Nearly three million people have been prescribed ADHD Medic*tion in the past two years, but for some, it can cause more challenges than it solves. Recent research shows the effectiveness of non-medical interventions in managing ADHD symptoms, emphasising the value of a more holistic approach.

The Holistic ADHD Summit is designed to provide you with tools to better manage ADHD in everyday life. With a hands-on approach, you will dive into topics such as burnout, diagnosis, treatment options, and many more.

Join a supportive community, connect with like-minded individuals, and learn from world-leading experts. Not only will you walk away with ready-to-use strategies, but you may also find the answers you have been searching for.

Our Speakers:

Dr Tom Nicholson is an Assistant Professor of mental health nursing and a speaker, trainer, and advocate for neurodiversity and ADHD. Tom's PhD project explores the lived experiences of parents whose children are undergoing ADHD assessment, listening to, and retelling their changing stories over a period of two years: From waiting list, to diagnosis, to living with a diagnosis. Diagnosed with ADHD in childhood, Tom uses his personal lived experience of ADHD alongside his clinical and academic background to give a multitude of perspectives to his work.

Dr Jane Sedgwick-MΓΌller is a senior lecturer, researcher in adult ADHD, and an advanced mental health nurse practitioner. She is also an ADHD psychosocial therapist/coach, executive board member of the UK Adult ADHD Network (UKAAN,) and professional advisory committee member of ADDISS: The National Charity for ADHD Information & Support.

Hayley Barker-Smith is a person-centred, Accredited ADHD Practitioner, Psychotherapist & Breathwork Facilitator. As a woman with ADHD, she weaves her own first-hand experience with years of study and training to offer her trauma-informed, compassionate approach to repairing the chaos, unravelling the limiting beliefs, and healing the loss and grief that ADHD can bring.

Dr Emma Field is an experienced counselling psychologist and the director of ADHD Scotland. She is experienced in therapy, diagnostic assessment, coaching, peer support, and workshops for neurodiverse people of all ages. On top of currently undertaking an additional master's in neurodiversity, she is also a qualified teacher, yoga instructor, and mindfulness practitioner. As a neurodiverse individual herself, she is motivated to understand the personal histories and experiences of each individual to provide practical knowledge and treatment approaches.

⭐ It was amazing. It was really detailed and sensitive to the subject matter and the audience. I thought you delivered it with the perfect tone - between serious, jovial, critical and informative. -A. N.

⭐ Seed Talks is not only very educational, it's very casual and social. The talks are great for complete beginners and experts. I appreciate that they host them in bars and social spaces, so you can go alone, on a date or in large groups. - Sophie

⭐ Seed Talks have done an incredible job at making insanely cool topics easily digestible and enjoyable to learn about for one's self improvement. It's like Ted Talks, but cooler? And more accessible! - Eva W
