Dean Raymond Cundey, A.S.C. (born March 12, 1946) is an American cinematographer and film director. He is known for his collaborations with John Carpenter, Steven Spielberg, and Robert Zemeckis, as well as his extensive work in the horror genre, in addition to numerous family and comedy films. His filmography as a cinematographer includes (1978), (1980), (1981), (1982), the trilogy (1985–1990), (1988), (1993), (1995), and (2004).
Cundey was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Cinematography for his work on Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and has been nominated for numerous BAFTAs and BSC Awards.
Dean Cundey, A.S.C. will do a live commentary during the movie about the process of making the movie with unheard stories about what happened on set behind the scenes as it shows on the big screen. Commentary may be made during dialogue of the movie, so OPEN CAPTIONS will be provided for those who have never seen the movie and need to follow along the plot and dialogue. Please note that NO PHOTOGRAPHY OR RECORDING is allowed during the narration of the movie in the auditorium.
VIP TICKETS $75.00: VIP ticketholders will be admitted 2 hours before show time for a meet and greet with Dean Cundey with an opportunity for a photograph and one autograph on any item of your choice. For those without a collectible item to be autographed, a souvenir postcard will be provided as an autographed keepsake. VIP ticket holders will also have priority seating closest to Dean Cundey. All guests are requested to sanitize hands before meeting with Dean Cundey, A.S.C. Hand sanitizer will be provided.
GENERAL ADMISSION $35.00: All general admission attendees will be allowed to enter the auditorium at 2:30 pm.

THE HOLIDAY is a 2006 romantic comedy film written, produced and directed by Nancy Meyers with cinematography done by Dean Cundey, A.S.C. Co-produced by Bruce A. Block, it was filmed in both California and England and stars Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz as Iris and Amanda, two lovelorn women from opposite sides of the Atlantic Ocean, who arrange a home exchange to escape heartbreak during the Christmas and holiday season. Jude Law and Jack Black were cast as the film's leading men Graham and Miles, with Eli Wallach, Shannyn Sossamon, Edward Burns, and Rufus Sewell playing key supporting roles.
The Holiday premiered in New York City on November 29, 2006, before it was theatrically released in the United Kingdom and the United States on December 8, 2006. The film was distributed by Columbia Pictures in North America and by Universal Pictures overseas. It grossed over $205 million worldwide against a budget of $85 million. The film received mixed reviews, with critics praising its visual design and the cast's performances while regarding the plot as predictable.

HOW DO I REDEEM MY TICKET?
Upon purchase, ticket will be emailed to you as a PDF attachment from Eventbrite. When you arrive to the event, please show the entrance attendant the bar code on your ticket at the entrance to the cinema, either by holding up your printed version, or by displaying it on your phone or smart device. Attendant will scan it to check you in, and you'll be good to go into the auditorium!
CAN I BRING FOOD / SNACKS?
NO! This is an indoor screening. Please do not bring outside food or drinks inside the cinema. Tasty refreshments and fresh popped popcorn will be sold at the cinema snack bar.
WILL YOU HAVE RESTROOMS?
YES! Gardena Cinema's lobby, snack bar, and restrooms will be open.
