The Hitchhiker's guide to QGIS
This 4 hour workshop will cover QGIS, a free and open source Desktop for building and managing Geospatial Data. QGIS runs on multiple operating systems and produces data that is 100# compatible with ESRI Products. In this workshop we will cover workflows, data formats, plugins, and Cartography. Participants should bring a laptop running the current version of QGIS and follow along with the provided data. Everyone gets a copy of the workshop and a Free Lifetime License to QGIS. Class also has the words 'DON'T PANIC' in large, friendly letters throughout.

- LIDAR - Can you use QGIS to Manipulate LAS Files
- Analysis - How caomparable is to commercial offerings
- Plugins - You might be able to make a web map
- Cartography - Paper Maps Rule
