The History of the Afternoon Tea will be a fascinating talk from Eileen Dilley, a former National Trust guide for over 30 years. The talk will be served with a traditional Afternoon Tea which will include sandwiches, scone, cakes and tea or coffee.
The afternoon event at the Old Town Hall will be the perfect opportunity to treat that special someone, perhaps on the occasion of Mothers’ Day (which falls the day after) or just because. Come along, enjoy some tasty food and be entertained by a charming talk.
As well as being a National Trust guide, Eileen has a wealth of experience in talks, events and teas, with the history of tea being her specialist subject. If you get chance to ask her questions, try to find out about her daredevil, less dainty, side too!
We will be offering the option of adding Prosecco to your refreshments at an extra cost.
We are grateful to Eileen for allowing us to run this event as a fundraiser.
All proceeds will go towards Bourne Town Hall’s regeneration project.
The restoration and transformation of the Old Town Hall is made possible thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund, we thank all National Lottery players.
