Join us at the Woodbridge Main Library July 9 at 7PM for an introduction to tarot. Participants will embark on a fascinating journey through the history and symbolism of the tarot deck. The class serves as an introduction to the art of tarot reading, providing a solid foundation for understanding the cards and their meanings.We will explore the origins of tarot, tracing its roots back to medieval Europe where it was initially used as a card game before evolving into a tool for divination and spiritual insight. Students learn about the different historical influences on the tarot which have shaped its symbolism and significance over the centuries.
Genevieve Kelly is a storyteller and Halloween enthusiast. She is the owner of Jersey Shore Ghost Tours, which offers haunted walking tours of Keyport and Red Bank and has been scaring audiences since 2007. Her stories have been featured in several publications, and on many podcasts.
