🎄 Tree of Light 2025 – Durban
Join us for one of Durban’s most cherished annual traditions, the Tree of Light, a meaningful and heartfelt event in support of Highway Hospice.
📍 Jameson Park (opposite Mitchell Park)
📅 Friday, 5 December 2025
⏰ From 5:30pm | Tree Lighting at 7:45pm
Bring your family, friends, and picnic blankets for an evening filled with Christmas-themed music performed by our wonderful volunteer musicians. Food stalls will be available, but you’re welcome to bring your own picnic. Don’t forget a blanket - and an umbrella just in case! Gazebos will be up should we need shelter from the rain.
At 7:45pm, the park will glow as more than 9,000 lights illuminate the Tree of Light. Each globe shines in remembrance of loved ones, and the tree will remain lit throughout December as a symbol of love, reflection, and community. The lighting ceremony will also be streamed live for those who cannot attend.
