The Hidden Agenda Speakeasy

High Femme Gaiety and Sunday Entertainment present our first event catering to middle aged lesbians (and the LGBTQIA+ Community) "The Hidden Agenda Speakeasy". It's giving queer arts variety show vibe including burlesque, live painting, open dance floor, and MORE to be announced throughout the month.

This event is the “brain child” of Kelley Harris, with assistance from Bea Sunday, who both had the great fortune of being young lesbians in St. Louis during the late 90's/00s/10s during what we'll call the "Lesbian Renaissance". During this time there were many LESBIAN owned and operated entertainment and restaurant venues like the famous Attitudes, Novak's, Nik's Wine Bar and more. Most cities, even the largest cities in the United States, did/do not have even one completely dedicated lesbian space... let alone 3+. Growing up lesbian during that period of power lesbian entertainment created SAFE SPACE to explore our sexuality and gender without the burden of the straight and male gaze hanging over us. It was spectacular!!!

Now, in our mid-40s, we miss that space. If we are able to provide even a fraction of the community, solidarity, support, fun, and deviance we experienced in the 90s we will consider the night a resounding success. And since we are a bit older...we'll be home by midnight. Please join us for our first High Femme Gaiety and Sunday Entertainment event. Come looking dapper, chic, and sexy.

Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 8pm, dance floor opens at 9:30/10pm. Come early to ensure you get a seat on the main floor. Seating is first come, first served.
