Plan on arriving about a little early as we will start at 6pm SHARP - Keep in mind the Cool Canyons traffic. Anyone who wants can join in Cool Canyon nights after. Come get exercise and this is a perfect place to do an offtrail 1/2 miles hard to strenuous hike to an amazing HEART ROCK. We will take photos then decent while it's still light out.
McKelligon Canyon - top of the road staying left- start at 6 pm sharp We will stay in a group. This should not take longer then 1.5 hours max including photos.
Meet at the picnic tables, if your drive left, it's the first, if your circle around to the right it's the last picnic tables at the top. Right next to the Trailhead to Ron Coleman at McKelligon. if by some chance the tables are occupied then park on the trailhead parking.
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AT LEAST 2 LITERS OF WATER, PLEASE DO NOT COME. IT IS STILL WARM AND ITS IS A CLIMB.
Please do not forget your 2 or more liters of water. We will hike to the ridge. This is a short but mighty hike that will test you in many ways if you are not used to the off-trail hiking.
Items needed: Water, 2-3 liters minimum. Good close toed shoes, hiking poles if you have them, a good hat for protection from the sun as there is no shade on the trail. Snacks are always good to have. Bring any medications you may personally need. Hiking poles if you like them.
This hike is not dog or family friendly.

This release includes all injuries and/or damage suffered by me before, during or after the event. I recognize, intend, and understand that this release is binding on my heirs, executors, administrators, or assignees.
I know that hiking, walking, climbing, running in an event is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and run unless I am medically able to do so and properly trained. I assume all risks associated with running in this event including, but not limited to; falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather, traffic, and course conditions, and waive any and all claims which I might have based on any of those, and other risks typically found in hiking, walking, climbing, running We hike event. I acknowledge all such risks are known and understood by me. I agree to abide by all decisions of any race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run. I certify as a material condition to my being permitted to enter this event that I am physically fit and sufficiently trained for the completion of this event and that a licensed Medical Doctor has verified my physical condition.
In the event of an illness, injury or medical emergency arising during the event I hereby authorize and give my consent to the Event Director to secure from any accredited hospital, clinic and/ or physician any treatment deemed necessary for my immediate care. I agree that I will be fully responsible for payment of all medical services and treatment rendered to me including but not limited to medical transport, medications, treatment and hospitalization.
By submitting this entry, I acknowledge (or a parent or adult guardian for all children under 18 years) having read and agreed to the above release and waiver. This is to include any friend's family or pets that have been brought by you without the own registration.
Further, I grant permission to all the foregoing to use my name, voice and images of myself in any photographs, motion pictures, results, publications or any other print, videographic or electronic recording of this event for legitimate purposes.
