About this Event
Welcome to The Heart and 'Saul' of Aureus!
A very special event that is taking place at Aureus School to celebrate the retirement of Ms Saul, a much‑loved member of our school community. As many of you will know, Ms Saul was diagnosed with Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) in 2023, and sadly this has meant she must now retire from her role. We are determined to honour her dedication, kindness, and impact on so many students over the years.
To mark this occasion, we will be hosting ‘The Heart and Saul’ event on Sunday 1st March, from 2.30pm to 4.00pm at Aureus School. This celebration will also raise funds for the MSA Trust, a charity that provides vital support and research for those affected by MSA.
In the days leading up to the event, a group of Aureus students will be undertaking an incredible sponsored walk. They will begin at Rosebery School, where Ms Saul taught before joining Aureus, and will walk over 100 miles across three days. Their journey will finish at Aureus, where Ms Saul will be waiting at the finish line to welcome them home. This challenge reflects the admiration our students have for her and their commitment to supporting the MSA Trust.
We warmly invite all families to join us for this meaningful occasion. Entry will be by voluntary donation, with all proceeds going directly to the MSA Trust. Afternoon tea will be provided, and there will be a few short speeches as we come together to celebrate Ms Saul’s remarkable career and the positive influence she has had on so many young people.
Ms Saul would love to see as many of you there as possible, and your support would mean a great deal to her and to our students taking part in the sponsored walk.
