Resident Sound Alchemist Dorothy Scanlan will be sharing her expertise on the healing power of sound and leading our monthly discussion group.Dorothy is a Sound Alchemist and Reiki Master. She was introduced to energy work 15 years ago when she attended numerous in-person Reiki trainings, including several with the International House of Reiki. As a life-long musician, she was immediately attracted to the concept of sound as a healing modality. What affirmed it for her was the scientific research behind the concept – that sound affects us in a positive way at the cellular level. This, in turn, sets up the body to facilitate its ability to heal. As a person searching for a way to give back to the world, sound work literally resonates with her.
