This edition is presented in partnership with PLNT, as part of the programme “Ready to Explore: Green and Just Futures”. We are thrilled to welcome Alexander Gunkel, the founder and Managing Director of Space4Good, to share his personal and professional journey.

Meet Alexander

Alexander Gunkel is a serial entrepreneur dedicated to harnessing space technology for social and environmental impact. Since 2013, he has co-founded three spacetech ventures, and he now leads Space4Good as its Managing Director. With academic foundations in mechanical engineering and business administration, he previously served as a project manager at the European Space Agency. Alex’s passions extend beyond technology and environmental stewardship to include entrepreneurial education, as he often mentors early-stage impact startups, fostering the next generation of mission-driven leaders.

For those who find the peace & justice sector daunting or do not know where to begin, these conversations provide practical insights and help set realistic expectations for entering the field.
