When a sudden rainstorm transforms her straightened hair into an afro, she embarks on a dreamlike adventure—from the glamorous Weave Kingdom to the enchanting Land of Locs and Fros—ultimately discovering the beauty of her natural self. Featuring Royal Expressions Contemporary Ballet alongside live musicians, mesmerizing choreography, and breathtaking set designs, The Hair Journey redefines ballet as a powerful storytelling experience.
Starring: Brevin Gilliam as Young Zuri, Tenshi Dailey as Older Zuri, Brooke Gilliam as The Mom, Jhakya Burks as The Weave Queen, and Jade Donnell as Nywele, Queen of the Land of Locs and Fros alongside 15 – 20 castmates.
