The Habits of Happy People
A Five-Part Meditation Series
With Hayes Holderness
Mondays, 7pm-8pm, January 19th - February 16th
Happiness is not something we stumble upon by chance—it is something we can learn to cultivate through the habits of our mind. In this five-part meditation series, we explore practical Buddhist insights on how to develop inner habits that lead to greater peace, clarity, and fulfillment in daily life.

Each class focuses on one key mental habit that supports the development of inner peace, the real source of happiness. Through clear teachings, guided meditation, and practical examples, you’ll learn how to work skillfully with your mind—especially in the midst of relationships, work, and everyday challenges.

  • 1. The Art of Contentment - Finding Peace in What We Have
How to reduce unhappiness by learning contentment and freedom from constant wanting.
  • 2. Acceptance: The Antidote to Anger - Staying Calm When Life Is Difficult
Practical methods to respond to challenges with patience and clarity rather than frustration.
  • 3. Seeing Beyond Faults - Transforming Criticism into Understanding
How letting go of fault-finding—toward ourselves and others—creates lighter, more harmonious relationships.
  • 4. Love Without Attachment - Creating Healthy, Joyful Connections
Understanding the difference between possessive attachment and genuine love, and how this distinction brings deeper happiness.
  • 5. Compassion Over Judgment - Opening the Heart in a Divided World
Learning to replace judgment with compassion and understanding, for ourselves and others.

Each session stands on its own, so you’re welcome to attend one class or the entire series. Suitable for beginners and experienced meditators alike, these classes offer practical tools you can apply immediately to create more happiness—starting from within.
