The Habitat (Quinton Shane) is a singer/songwriter and multi instrumental looping artist raised in Northern California and Northern Utah. He has been writing and performing music for over fifteen years. He recently returned to Utah after traveling for several years, and is pursuing his dream of a full time career in music.
Quinton named his project “The Habitat”, because songwriting is the closest thing to home for him, having grown up in a chaotic household and lived nomadically for many years. He feels most in his element when writing and performing, and the folks who listen to and cherish his tunes are his chosen family.
Quinton is self taught and has no intention to emulate any particular artist or genre. He plays what sounds and feels right to him. Because of this, his music is a unique amalgamation of sounds straight from the soul.
He has several hours of original songs covering topics of mental health, sex and gender, love and relationships, religious trauma, family hardships, travel experiences, and more. He can also do improv instrumental looping endlessly.
The Habitat is known for clever, thoughtful lyrics, a wide vocal range, groovy bass lines, syncopated rhythms, and catchy hooks.
Quinton has been dumping everything he has onto the creative bonfire called The Habitat. He and his fans are excited to watch it grow.
