The Gumboot Stomp is an event that the BVFMS has hosted many times in recent (and ancient) history, but has not happened since the lockdown years. We are excited to bring new life to the event, just as spring brings new life after the winter months. The tradition of Gumboot Stomp is to decorate a pair of gum boots (wellies, if you've never heard of gumboots). There will be various competitions for you and your gumboots, including Best Dressed, Best Couple, Best Dance, etc., and you could win some sweet prizes.
This is a 19+ event at the historic Driftwood Hall (yes, aka Glenwood Hall) on April 5th 2025 from 7:00pm until midnight. Tickets are just $25, or $20 for BVFMS members, and are available at Bulkley Valley Brewery and Mountain Eagle Books. BVB will also be there slinging beverages of both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic variety, and all drink sales will be CASH ONLY. We will have a DD service available at a cost, but those details will be posted as they become available. Please plan to enjoy yourself responsibly, and make arrangements to get home safely.
