Where and whenAfter taking a year off from our typical beachfront location the potluck is return to Pavilion 6, the larger pavilion next to the playground on Gulfport beach. Food will be available at 12 noon, donations and staging start at 11am.
What
The Gulfport Citywide Thanksgiving Potluck is open to all. This is somewhere between the 12th to 15th time city residents have gathered to celebrate together. We honor those former organizers who have passed on or have passed on the torch to us to help keep this tradition going.
How
Come prior to noon to set up and bring your dish(s) to share. There are limited tables inside the pavilion so many folks should plan on bringing their own tables and chairs. The full range of holiday fair shows up on our tables, however if you have specific needs you may want to make sure that your needs will be met. Near the end of Oct a call will go out for people to post what they hope to be bringing. At that time we will know more of what we’ll need.
We will need extra support this year with tables, chairs, strong paper plates and plastic cutlery. This year we do not, as of yet, have a restaurant sponsor meaning we’ll be asking for more of the staples; turkey, dressing, potatoes and of course more gravy. MORE GRAVY!
