About the event
Welcome to Scots Law Talks.
Join us for an exciting evening where we deliver our Criminal Law Series: The Guilty Mind event!
Taking place on Friday 21st March 2025 at 19:00 GMT, this in-person event is a must-attend for anyone interested or curious in understanding criminal law in Scotland.
In this talk, we promise Real Cases, Real Crimes, Real Scotland again.
But what is a guilty mind? Join us as members of the jury as we examine reckless actions, evil intent and motive.
What happens if ‘it was all a joke’? Or if the wrong person gets harmed instead?
We will explore real cases involving weapons, attack dogs and plotting to M**der your neighbour! You'll have the opportunity to gain an understanding of key aspects of criminal law in Scotland, ask questions, and engage in thought-provoking discussions with fellow attendees.
Recommended for 16+ due to mature themes and discussion on crimes.
Whether you are simply curious about the subject or love 'all things true crime', or you are a student, this event promises to be both informative and enjoyable.
Light refreshments; teas and coffee are included in your admission.
We are delighted that Peterhead Pr*son Museum, Peterhead will be hosting this event.
Doors open for the event at 6:45pm (or 18:45).
