The Grounded Heart An Embodiment Yoga Series
Mondays, Feb 9, 16, & 23 | 5:30–6:30pm

A 3-week embodiment yoga series inviting you to connect more deeply to the soft yet powerful energy of the heart by grounding the root of the body into the earth. This series explores how deeper intimacy—within ourselves and with life—begins by feeling safe and supported in the body. Through yin yoga postures and embodiment practices, you’ll create the conditions for energy to flow more freely between the womb, heart, and head.
Week 1 (Feb 9): Trusting Our Roots
This class will focus on releasing tension in the hips and pelvis and receiving sensation in the lower body. We’ll settle into the womb through pelvic floor relaxation and release. As we ground in this way, the weight of the heart and chest begins to feel safe to rest and soften.
Week 2 (Feb 16): Expansive Heart
This class invites you to unwind muscle tension in the center of the body. We’ll explore postures to release holding patterns in the rib cage, lungs, and tissues of the chest and heart. You will feel deeper intimacy with your organs and create more spaciousness and ease in the heart center.
Week 3 (Feb 23): Bridging Heart to Head
Building upon the first two weeks, this class will explore the connection between the womb, heart, and cranium on physical and energetic levels. So many of us move through life led primarily by the mind, often ignoring the wisdom of the heart. We’ll work with gentle and dynamic postures to move energy and support more authentic expression of the heart.
