The Grief Opera Performance - Love Goes On

This is a journey through deep loss to great love. It is harrowing but ultimately uplifting. The opera moves from a father's last conversations with his musician son through the shock of his death to the challenge of great grief and love.

Combining elements of opera, musicals and concerts, and weaving classical styles and jazz, the Grief Opera takes us on a journey that will resonate with all who know great loss.

Nigel Linacre wrote the lyrics after he lost his son George Linacre to suicide. Jazz band leader and pianist Vladimir Miller created the music, using George's bass rhythms as a bass, having lost a band member to suicide earlier in his life.

Join us for a one night only performance of The Grief Opera, in Bath, on World Suicide Prevention Day, in collaboration with Suicide&Co, a national charity with the purpose to support those bereaved by suicide. Half of the funds from ticket costs will go to Suicide&Co, raising money to provide counselling for people bereaved by suicide.
