The Greening of Radiology Breakfast Session ASHE PDC Summit 2023

Learn how a collaboration between UCSF and Siemens helped reduce energy consumption and operational costs of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Systems working towards the goal of providing the first carbon-neutral imaging service. Dr. Sean Woolen, Radiologist, Assistant Professor and Director of Green Radiology Initiative, UCSF, and Jerry Folsom, Director of Digital Services, Siemens Smart Infrastructure, will provide an overview of the project and share their findings.

Operating MRIs from multiple vendors and collecting data in real time, this research uncovered interesting use patterns.
