About this Event
Shaped by Light: A Stained Glass Capstone Experience for The Green Thread
Experience for Green Beret Spouses
The Green Thread Capstone gathering marks the culmination of our shared journey through honesty and compassion topics. This gathering centers on the theme of Transformation and invites participants into a reflective, hands-on experience that honors change as a process rather than a destination.
Through the creation of a stained glass piece, participants will engage in a guided creative practice that mirrors the inner work of becoming. Like transformation itself, stained glass is formed through pieces brought together imperfectly, allowing light to pass through what was once fractured. This experience offers space to reflect on personal growth, shifting identity, resilience, and the quiet changes that unfold over time.
This gathering is not about artistic skill or finished outcomes. It is about presence, meaning, and integration. Participants will be gently guided through reflection and the creative process in a calm, supportive environment designed to foster connection, confidentiality, and care.
Each participant will leave with their own stained glass piece as a tangible reminder of the transformation they are living.
Prerequisite for Participation: Participation in this capstone gathering requires having attended at least one Green Thread session in January or February. This ensures a shared foundation and allows the capstone experience to build meaningfully on the work already explored together.
The Green Thread is made possible through the partnership between The Station Foundation and the Special Forces Foundation, whose shared commitment to supporting Special Forces families brings this work to life. Together, these organizations collaborate to create intentional spaces that foster connection, reflection, and well-being for spouses navigating the unique rhythms of this community. Their combined efforts ensure that The Green Thread is grounded in care, trust, and a deep respect for the experiences of those it serves.
