London Pro Musica Choir presents its annual Good Friday Common Ground concert and this season it is entitled "The Green Cathedral." Concert time is 7:30 pm EDT (doors open at 7:00 pm).
This is a concert that will explore the sacred found in the natural world around us, with a reverence for our relationship with all things. We view the earth as our mother because we are born from her and she provides everything we need: shelter, water, food, air, fire and a connection with others. These are the essentials for human survival.
We will feature the music of Londoner and London Pro Musica member Rod Culham, with lyrics by local author, Paul Knowles. Also featured are Tillsonburg’s Stephanie Martin and Cree composer Andrew Balfour of Winnipeg. The universal themes of nature are overflowing with musical and emotional expression and will make for a deeply moving concert. Please plan to attend.
Tickets are $30 and are available through a choir member, Stephen Holowitz at St. James Westminster Church, Long & McQuade North (725 Fanshawe Park Rd W, London) or at the link below. Tickets will also be available at the door on the night of the concert.
