The Schallfeld Ensemble continues this year's "The Great Unlearning" season by deepening its focus on vocality. The third concert in the series will take place on 29 May at 20:00 in the Schaumbad with the outstanding artists Erin Gee and Helena Sorokina. The evening's programme includes a variety of approaches, all of which reflect the central theme of "unlearning". Be it the "rewind" technique in Kerschbaumer's work, Erin Gee's exploration of mimetic phenomena in the transformation of phonemes into instrumental techniques or Scheuer's construction of a grotesque "meta-instrument", even Blumfield's presentation of premature memories - the leitmotif remains the same: the return to question our knowledge.
Program:
Benjamin Scheuer – Jammerorgel
Erin Gee – Mouthpiece 24
Erin Gee – Mouthpiece: Segment of the 3rd letter
Hannes Kerschbaumer – Umfaltet
Isaac Blumfield – Before you were born
