The second rebuild of Saltair was used in the film Carnival of Souls in 1962 and later burned to the ground in 1970. Due toall of the problems with fires, flooding, and other mishaps the currently rebuilt Saltair was moved west from the original location in hopes that it would not meet the fate of the last two buildings. Instead of burning to the ground the building was flooded in 1983 and the curse seemed to continue. There are many reports that the current Saltair is the home to countless spirits and is a hotspot for EVP’s.
