The GLAC Clean Up is not just a one-day event to pick up trash from the shoreline, it also provides environmental educational awareness. Eventually that piece of paper, bottle, can, etc. could make its way to the lake or stream that is ultimately a source of drinking water that supplies many families and businesses. In 2022, 10.15 tons of trash and 52 tires were collected and removed from the Lake Allatoona shoreline by 1,641 registered volunteers. We are looking forward to a great turnout for the upcoming 2025 Clean Up.Volunteers please bring and wear gloves, closed-toe shoes and clothing that can get dirty.
