This holiday season, The Great Dickens Christmas Fair returns for its 41st season, transforming four acres of the historic Cow Palace into the lamplit lanes, shops, pubs, and stages of Victorian London on Christmas Eve. Step through the doors of Victoria Station and into a world straight from the imagination of Charles Dickens, where the page and stage come alive with wonder, laughter, and holiday cheer!Shop, Play & Wander Through Old London: Explore more than 100 artisan shops offering one-of-a-kind gifts, handcrafted jewelry, and vintage ornaments. Feast on hearty English fare — fish & chips, savory pies, and roast beef — then raise a glass of mulled wine or hot buttered rum in one of the Fair’s boisterous pubs. Seven stages overflow with continuous live entertainment — from lively music halls and traditional dance to roaming carolers, Father Christmas, chimney sweeps, Can-Can Dancers, and Mr. Scrooge himself!
Everyone’s Invited to Join the Play: Dress up and step into the story! Visitors are welcome to come in costume or simply enjoy the spectacle. Children can explore Tinsley Lane, where they’ll ride a hand-powered carousel, build a Fairy House, or paint a handmade ceramic ornament. Adults can indulge in grown-up delights like the Port & Chocolate Experience, Champagne Tastings at the Royal Libation Society, or an Absinthe flight at The Bohemian.
New Adventures for 2025: This season, the Fair pays whimsical tribute to Lewis Carroll, featuring an all-new English Pantomime, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Pose for photos at the “Tea Time with Alice and Friends” mural, search for clues in the Sherlock Holmes Mystery, or enjoy elegant High Tea at Cuthbert’s Tea Shoppe. Around every corner, you’ll find something new — from fresh local eateries to lively pub musicians, suffragist street theater, and student fiddlers from Suil Na Seabhac.
