In Partnered Swing Dance you are connected to another human. Whether you are a lead or follow, your movement is transferred into your dance partners body, by way of this connection. Body awareness is an effective tool to enhance you AND your partners dance conversation and experience.
Learning Solo Jazz and the different ways of 'moving' your body through this particular dance vocabulary, has a profound effect on significantly lifting your Partnered Dancing.
Not just how it looks, but how it feels, alongside developing a deeper connection with jazz music in general.
A big part of the Black American Art Form of Swing Dancing emphasises movement through Solo Jazz.
Strengthening your Solo Jazz vocabulary is an important cultural connection to the past, present, and future.
